Our history is rich with faith, family, and fellowship. Thoughts of the church first began in the 1880s. Over the years the community came together to worship, a building was planned, and services began. A long line of leadership stepped up to serve over the years. Families joined together to form a congregation. Fellowship brought together the community and the surrounding ones. In 1891, 11 charter members came together, and the church now know as Brewton Baptist Church officially began.

There is one God who exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus, born of a virgin, is the Son of God who lived a sinless life, died in our place as the only worthy sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and will one day physically return to earth.

God, the Holy Spirit, is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation and is the Comforter and Guide who dwells within every believer.

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.
